There are many treks in Nepal but none brings you as close to the base of 7000 to 8100 meter high peaks in a such a short time period as the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek. ABC Trek is one of the most popular trek in the Annapurna region. The trail goes alongside terraced rice paddies, lush Rhododendron forest and high altitude landscape with the Annapurna range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) in view most of the time.

The setting of the Annapurna Base Camp at 4130 meter is unique and incredibly spectacular, set amidst the mighty peak of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. The Annapurna Base Camp Treks take 6 to 10 days depending on your time and itinerary. But it is astonishing that we were able to complete the whole Trek in 5 days, starting from Kathmandu we flew to Pokhara, then took a Sumo from Airport to Modeque, from where our Trek began. ABC Trek given its popularity, there were abundance of people that we met whilst our way towards ABC and back. From asking how long to get to next destination; to answering others how long it would take and giving motivation boost throughout the journey. Also, I have to mention our little companion (dog) who was with us from Deurali to ABC and from ABC back to Bamboo.

We came to know that most of the places were run by their own mini hydro powers and internet access is available scarcely at all places. Network is hardly available at places like ABC, MBC and Bamboo. Also, for charging ports we need to utilize the ones provided at the dining hall, as most hotel rooms didn't provide one. ABC only has solar powered electricity and wifi. So, make sure you have your own power bank and head lamps if you need one. The route is mostly constituted of long flights of irregular stairs, so trekking sticks are a must for support.

Nothing much to say, just enjoy the view all the way.
