Company Overview:
Spiralogics is a global software development company with over 20 years of experience delivering enterprise software solutions across healthcare, HR, finance, and other industries. With development centers in the US, Nepal, and India, we build high-quality web, mobile, desktop, cloud, and AI-enabled applications using modern technologies including .NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, Node.js, Flutter, Android, and iOS.
Job Summary:
We are looking for curious, analytical, and self-driven individuals who enjoy solving problems, asking meaningful questions, and understanding software from both technical and business perspectives. Candidates with exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), or innovative college projects will have an added advantage.
At Spiralogics, we value curiosity over rote learning. We encourage our QA interns to ask "Why?", "How?", and "What if?", challenge assumptions, understand business requirements, and think beyond predefined test cases to deliver high-quality software.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (completed or final semester) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiar with software testing, SDLC, and STLC.
- Basic programming knowledge in C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think beyond standard scenarios.
- Ability to identify edge cases and think creatively to improve software quality.
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI concepts.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualities:
- Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems from multiple perspectives.
- Think beyond expected scenarios and proactively identify edge cases, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Have a natural curiosity to understand the "why," "how," and "what if" behind business requirements rather than simply following instructions, enabling them to identify risks, question assumptions, and improve software quality.
- Ask thoughtful questions to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and contribute to better software quality.
- Have a genuine interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), and emerging technologies, and be eager to leverage them to improve software quality and testing efficiency.
- Communicate ideas, observations, and recommendations clearly and professionally while working effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Academic projects involving Artificial Intelligence (AI), Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, or Generative AI will be an advantage.
- Participation in AI-related hackathons, research projects, internships, or open-source contributions is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, REST APIs, Git, or test automation concepts is preferred.
Internship Program:
Our internship program provides hands-on industry experience, structured learning, and continuous mentorship to help interns build a successful career in Software Quality Assurance.
During the internship, interns will receive:
- Dedicated mentorship from an experienced QA Engineer throughout the internship.
- Comprehensive onboarding to familiarize interns with the company's culture, values, and development workflow.
- A structured learning roadmap with defined weekly learning objectives and milestones.
- Hands-on training in Software Testing fundamentals, SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
- Practical exposure to industry-standard testing tools, bug tracking systems, API testing, databases, and AI-assisted testing tools.
- Individual assignments and real-world project tasks to apply acquired knowledge.
- Opportunities to participate in requirement discussions, sprint activities, and QA team collaboration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners, in an Agile environment.
- Regular one-on-one mentoring sessions, technical discussions, and Q&A sessions to accelerate learning.
- Regular feedback through one-on-one mentoring sessions and weekly performance reviews.
- Exposure to enterprise software development and real client projects.
- A final performance evaluation based on technical skills, analytical ability, learning attitude, communication, teamwork, and overall contribution.
- Opportunity for full-time employment at Spiralogics based on performance, business requirements, and available positions.
